Korea in 1955 written by Roy Lewis
We were on guard one night, freezing cold, when an accident happened. My mate, Bill Nightingale was shot in the face with a very-pistol. Bill was quickly taken away, and we lost touch.
I remember we built a raft once and tried to swim and dive off it in the River Imjim. It lasted for just two minutes before sinking. I would love to hear from Bill, or anyone else, who was in The 19th Field Regt at that time. I was known as Taff, the battery charger for 67 Battery. |
