R.A.F.ChoirJerusalem in 1941

 My dad,Mark Ayres, sang with this choir and told of when the choir had sung for some children at an orphanage. After the choir's concert the children sang to the choir. The hymn they chose(if I remember dad correctly) was 'Love Divine' to the tune of Bleanwarn. He also recalled the Marriage of Wilfred Morris who wrote an anthem called 'Lord' send thy blessing', which was sang at W.Morris' wedding. Anybody out there with further information, especially about Mark, if you could contact me I would be grateful. |
