New York JFK Airport in 1966 written by Jack Carter
Following a quick job in El Salvador, Central America, I was making my way back to U.K. via the United States. In the JFK Airport lounge I saw a couple of Pussers caps, one CPO and one PO but no sign of thew PO, I immediately thought of an old oppo of mine while I was in Collingwood doing an REM2 course, one Johnny Cook, a new entry just like me from 1953. I had not seen Johnny since new entry days, almost exactly 13 years so it couldn't have been him, could it? The out of the heads came one Johnny Cook and between the three of us we drank the aircraft, an aging Boeing 707, dry. If you are out there John, give me a call. |
