Durban,S/Africa july 8th,21st b/dy in 1951

 With A/PO Griffiths went ashore to go
to the JULY Handicap race, as had a serious tip! of the ,enventual, winner.
BUT, got sort of arrested by a stroppy
cop and marched off to the HQ.Spent the
whole of the rest of the day in the custody section and released after midnight, unable to put on the 'winning' bets or even celebrate the
'big' day.Did amend the situation the
following year in the same port, but not
the gee-gees!
