Any one recall living in a aeroplane hangar on the RAF site at Eastleigh Airport in 1954, before our new barracks were completed? Army wireless chain signal squadron i beleive it was called prior to Comcan Niarobi. I can remember shortly after the new spider was complete there was such a ruckus in the room some lads leaping on to beds at the sight of the snake some [brave] or nuts chasing with sweeping brushes it was eventually caught [ who ended up with the handbag ?] i never got to know.
