55 Coy. R.A.S.C. AD. Kuala Lumpur Malaya in 1959 written by Ian Jackson
I served as a Bedding & Accomodation Storeman at 55 coy RASC AD from 1959 to 1960 which was based on a small hill close to Kuala Lumpur Airport. This hill now supports a large Radar Installation Tower used by the KL ATC. at the new airport. I have many happy memories of my time there where I was known as Jacko Jackson. Some of the mates I served with were: Stan Collier, Paddy Mullen, Smiley, Terry from Bristol who worked with me in the stores. I hope this jogs a memory or two. |
