Depot Barracks, Dorchester - National Service basic training. in 1954 written by William Goodyear
Does anyone remember basic training at Dorchester in April/May, 1954? I was in Plassey Platoon - instructor was Sgt. Daniels. Other names I remember are RSM Duffield, Sgt. Pollock, Corporals Jones, Virgin and Chapman, Private George Dyer who was transferred to Wiltshire Regiment. Be glad to hear from anyone who was there at that time. |
