Suez canal in 1956 written by edward martin
I'd like to remind the UC 1 looking for objects on the bottom of the canal, that we were there first so you're search would have been futile. Pincher Martin D3 able seaman (again). I remember the S9's being stopped after some of our time-sheets were studied by some bright scribe - obviously with shares in the Royal Navy - suddenly remembered his geography lessons at school and re-called that canal was more like 80ft deep and not 180ft. Cheers to that man oppo! All the best. Pincher. |
