71 H.A.A. Regt R.A. M.E.L.F. 15. in 1953 written by Derrick Bettles
Flying out from Blackbush airport to Egypt via Gib, was possibly the most exiting thing I had ever done. When we arrived at R.A.F. Fayed we boarded a coach or rather a Matador lorry, and proceeded along as I know now as the treaty road.
When we arrived at the camp I found the row of three point seven anti aircraft guns on the gun park awesome. Is there anyone out there that served with the 71 Regiment,I would like to here from you, Derrick. |
