Joining up on on the 8th September 1958 in 1958 written by Patricia Ann Lake (nee Gordon)
I wonder how many of us are left now out of the crowd who joined at H.M.S Dauntless in 1958? I will not forget that day. Boy was I home-sick. Still we seemed to survive the edxperience of being hauled out of bed at the ungodly hour of 6.am. I was in Warspite Division. Please feel free to get in touch. There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
