Rannikhet Camp, Reading, Berks in 1954 written by Antony {Tony] Cook. Nicknamed "Cassius"
After complete in basic training in both A and B Company, Devises, I was posted to Rannikhet Camp, Tilehurst, Reading. Here I spent the rest of my two years NS. This time was spent in the company of some great blokes, Sammy Levy,a Londoner and Dick Russell from Manchester spring to mind. Mike Daniels, another Londoner, and I met a few times after our discharge. In fact I last met up with Mike when my wife Frances and I went to London on our Honeymoon in July 1960. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me from those days. I left the army in January 1956. |
