HMS UNDAUNTED. Sea trialed the Lynx helicopters off Portland, mainly on landing gear, lost a couple over the side if i remember. Then joined the Derry squadron [red hand of Ulster], never stopped raining up their. HMS ASHANTI. Persian Gulf, dow patrols, out of Barhrain, the ship was fully air conditioned luckily, but it was always breaking down., and it,s not an old sea story when i say you could fry an egg on the upper deck. HMS BRIHTON. My last ship, Far East again, and the tail end of the Aden conflict, hairy times. Came back home and joined the first STANAVFORLANT, and visited US big time. Had a fabulous time.
