Living in tents on the beach whilst serving with 65 Coy GoldenSands Famagusta. Army Kinema. Our'homemade' raft 'LIZZIE'. The fabulous times we all had in the Heartbreak Hotel'. Endless Guard Duties. Keo beer. The sunny weather, oranges, grapes and all the hard long hours of work and duties we all had during the EOKA trouble. Famagusta docks and the arrival of the French Army. The comradeship and loyalty of all your mates. Happy days and a few sad days. It was great to be 20 and it WAS a good time. Still got loads of photos !! Best Wishes 'SPIKE' |
