, Aircraft Torpedo Development Unit Fort Grange Gosport in 1953 written by Philip Raymond Bailey
I was posted to this station in 1952 and was surprised to find we had to share with the ROYAL NAVY.They were stationed across the road at HMS Sisken. We experimented droping torpedos with an odd batch of Aircraft namely Bristol Brigands, Baracudas, Fairy Swordfish and Avro Lincolns. I was in the Flight Hanger and managed to get trips up in most of the Aicraft. I have found two who served with me but no one who was in the Flight Hanger. There must be somebody out there please get in touch it woul be great to chat |
