freezing cold november.up at six.marched to ablutions for not very warm wash and gargle. make bedstack.how well i remember cpl bishop who then proceeded to wreck it.marched to breakfast(irons left hand behind back)then into p.e gear of shorts,polo shirt and plimsoles slipping and sliding on the ice around the square.lord help u if u fell.you just had to lie there and risk being trampled on by 39 other sliding frozen recruits,(mum. why did u let me leave home at 17 and a half).did it kill us? no.did it toughen us up? oh yes and i would not have missed it for the world/
