My brother Peter and I spent a fun year to July 1968 with my parents ( Bill Marshall) at JHQ Rheindahlen and working with NAAFI just before we joined HM Diplomatic Service.
We recall skiing down that artificial ski slpe and playing tennis on the red clay courts by the cinemas all summer and in particular seeing a lovely blue eyed girl ( about 19/20) with short short blonde hair playing on the Officer courts. When winter came ( with Dr Zhivago playing at the cinema) I never got that dance at the Officers Club Disco ( later in Dec 67 with the Beatles singing Hello/Goodbye) and wonder what happened to that very pretty lady?
