BLENHEIM BARRACKS ALDERSHOT in 1952 written by ALEXANDER MCINNES
Do you remember at No5 Training Battalion in mid summer of 1952 where we were kitted out and had our first army haircut, also introduced to WAIT FOR THE WAGGON the RASC regimental march. We were then sent to Blandford Camp in Dorset and our home for the next 3months A. COY 15, Training Battalion RASC was to become our home.
We learnt to drive and we spent many hours square bashing.
We also spent a lot of time involved in various sport activites which from time to time were to be of help during our next three years.
I remember so much about the days I mention, also many of the faces come to mind all these years later,I joined as a seventeen year old and here I am at 76.
They mostly were good times.
