CAN ANY ONE REMEMBER GOING TO THE CANAL ZONE ON THE TROOPSHIP DEVONSHIRE IN 1951 AND THOSE B****RD R.AF.SPS WHO USED TO THROW THEIR WEIGHT ARROUND,DOES AYNYONE REMEMBER COMMING BACK HOME ON THE OLD RUST BUCKET EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA GOOD OLD DAYS. MAURICEsuez 1951/52 moascar north camp,i was(as the result of 7 days jankers for a rusty rifle)doing a 24hr guard on the camp MAIN GATE , when the mobile A.K.C. CINEMA which was accross the road caught fire,our guard commander sgt jack bagshaw was to p"""ed up to be of any use except by shouting throw a bucket of sand on it ,as we cant throw water bcause "THERES A HOLE IN THE BUCKET DEAR HENRY,DEAR HENRY A HOLE",talk about FRED KARNOs and all hands to the pump ,this was a scream ,0H for those salad days again ofN/SERVICE.maurice robinson. |
