Civilian search in 1958 written by Tam Boye
I am looking for an English soldier who was in the British Army around the late 1950’s and 60’s.
His name is Richard Sharp and he was married to a Chinese woman who is / was my aunt called Su.
They had a child who was then a baby called Helen. I came to the UK with them from Hong Kong and he was later posted back there.
He, Su and Helen returned to the UK about 3 years later and I saw them once during that time. Since then we have never seen each other.
I am anxious to get in touch with them if anyone knows of a person who sounds like him. He and Su would have to be pretty old by now!I lived in China with my grandmother who died many years ago, until I was seven years old and came to England with my Aunt and Uncle ie
Richard and Su above. We lived in the Wandsworth area of London at the time.
I never knew my real parents and now at the age of almost 60 I’d like to find out who they were if it is not already too late. Su my aunt would be the only person who could tell me.
I’d be most grateful if anyone can help or can suggest what I can do to track Richard down. I joined this web site for this purpose.
My email address is: s.marlow08@btinternet.com I hope someone out there can help
with my search. My Chinese name was Tam Boye |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
