 I was about to begin my M.B.C. course that is how to become a Deck hand in the Royal Air Force!! A guy walked in and said to me wera yew frum bor? norfolk i told him, Werabouts? I tod him Brinton, Tommy Jordon cum frum Wells. I told hi i'd had an arnt named Jordon, we moighht be relerated bor? tommy was a lovely chAaracter, Strangly enough last year I found out this had been the case , we had been relearted ian a sort of way due to maraige! now to 1974 /75 I was working ship out on the island of Gan in the Maldives, I was helpin some of the locals lift some heave sugar bags, half cwt! From above I heard a voice shout "Robbie what the F*** do you think tou are doing working?
I looked up from the hold floor to see my F.S. boss telling me not to work !! not something a lowly deck hand would expect. his hane was Jack Brown, I now move on to 1980 I had a mate called Bob Cave, he was not happy and wanted to get out of the R.A.F. a mate of mine and me found him one day swinging but alive!! we got him sorted and put right, watched him for many months, we did not say any thing as we didn't want him to go through the S*** .
Some six months on he was happy again, I went off on a detachment, Bob madew fun I told him he sould come with us. No i can have mor fun here. Bob told me!
I came back to Plymouth and bobh Cave I was told had been killed in a motor Bike Accidend. The words he spoke to me rang clear.
THe people I wrote about are all now deceased, I sent a memory to the
Air Sea Rescue Marine Craft Sections Club News Letter. It waqs a bit more than I've put here but is those three incidents. It was not printed so I wrote to ask why. My letter was personell to the Editor, now a man and others in Plymouth have given me a lot of agro because they think I wrote about another Bob Cave, well names do duplicate don't they? the one trhey knew was many years older and had died many years later. The also think I wrote bad things about Tommy Jordon and Jack Brown! Well see above and you will see other wise! Thje name of the riong leader who has been giving me grief is FRANK MORISS he lives at 103 Under Lane Plymstock, Plymouth.
Due to this Agro expecting me to "Apologise for somethiong I have not done" I have been banned form a Reunion in Plymouth I was looking forward to next month May 24 th so what do you think of that ladds and Lasses I hope some ex Mount Batten People read this and tell FRANK MORISS what they think of him along with his cronnies
