HMS Ausonia, Med in 1962

 HMS Ausonia medfoba cycle ride in 1962
Ship sailed from Malta to Naples in Italy. Whilst there, a group of us including the ships dentist, left the ship and cycled all the way down the coast of Italy past the Isle of Capri and visiting Pompei. we eventually arrived in Reggio where we caught the ferry to Palermo in Sciccily ,and rejoined the ship which had moved from Naples during our absence.
It was a fabulous experience.never to be forgotten. Is there anyone still out there who was on this experience? |
