Royal Marine Commando, `X Coy 45 CDO. RM in 1972 written by Andy Yeates
As`a young marine 5 days after my 18 th birthday the unit was sent to Belfast. The excitment of seeing my first tour of active service, then reality hit me as the ship docked in Belfast, the ceasefire had just broken, Belfast sounded like a shooting gallery.Thankfully the old sweats guided me. At that moment I became a young Royal Marine who understand the term active service. 6 tours of N.I. later, I never forgot my reaction to that initial tour. |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
