 We were sent to a knoll opposite an orange orchard to set up an `OP`to deter GNG from entering the SBA. We had 3 GPMG`S`mounted on sandbags in secure firing positions. There were 10 bootnecks on the knoll, living under a `PX` parachute, eating compo rations, and drinking goffers from the ice bucket. What fun we had, the 10 bootnecks on that knoll were ready for action, but instead we had a great laugh for 6 weeks. |
