Lubbecke, West Germany ’75-’77 in 1975 written by Ian Hay
Wonderful memories of Lubbecke, the RMP Corporals Mess - last one to leave the mess locks up! The ’70’s in Germany and all the lovely local ladies we met! I remember guys like Malcolm Howe, Spud Murphy, Steve Leech, Steve Street (later in the Met with me, also ’Plum’ Duff) John Jenks, Rick Metcalfe, our interpreters Fred Hirte (who I have recently got in touch with thru’ Steve Whitmore) Soxmis vodka drinking in No.1’s, the beer fest, Shutzen Fest, Bundeswehr Reserves, German cops, I could go on all day!! |
