my father was stationed at catterick 1947 1949my brother was born there.bovington camp dorset .we were hear 1949 1952.i started school here.we left for hong kong from bovington. hong kong stanley fort.I can remember getting in to big trouble.for spending the whole summer holidays,clearing the roofe of a gun turret up in the hills.It then could be seen clearly from the air.The korean war was on at the time.The army did not think it was very clever. Oldenburg germany.1955 56.going to school in the winter .in the school bus along the frozn river |
