Does any one out there remember an incident in the South Atlantic when HMS Snipe, was involved in a skirmish with Argentinian destryers? The only reference I have heard of this incident was a brief news cast 30 years later when the news said "It has been revealed that there was an armed conflict in the south atlantic in 1953. The Navy sent a gun boat" That "Gun boat" was the Snipe, and I was the Leasding Officers cook, working X Gun hoist, and we flew 'Battle Ensigns' |
