Race for Rangoon in 1944 written by Sapphire McCullough
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma_Campaign#Race_for_RangoonMy Grandfather was in the army I think a Major-General... he did tiger shoots and was a colonial style tenacious hunter, an Overseer by civvy occupation. I have always had a profound interest in military and recently was involved in the thoughtful play, (Kipling's) set in around 1910: "My Boy Jack" at a local AMDRAM. |
