training.Buller barracks.aldershot. in 1974
written by tony coulton

always remember as an 18 year old,we entered our barracks block.and all we heard was a constant background sound of"you,ll be sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"..haha..at Buller, their was a sarg "young". "2nd lt Swallow."(say no more)if anyone served at Buller from Sep 1974.Well,id like to here from them.specially a guy called Kev Smith who was from Watford.and i think a guy called clive(clyde)who was from Torquay. and Dave (have us on pic..cant remember Daves surname at this time) we all got back squaded for tryin to con the doc.lmao!great fun.have some great pics to post when i sort em.

initially,i was on the train from north (Barrow) on my 18th birthday.shittin my self really.but i had a brother in the same regiment who was in Germany.(he inspired me to join.(alas.no longer with us)went to sutton coldfield?(midlands)some idiots smashed alarms and we were made to stand bollock naked on the parade ground at 4 in the morning.

When we eventually got to buller.,we were told we were the worst platoon(we were also the largest ever intake=42 of us i think?)ever to grace Sutton coldfield.and we would be made to pay.haha
