the picture in the new photo box is of 249 squadron in front of a Tempest Mk.6 the c.o. at the time was sqdn.ldr scott-voss, a south african, also on the base at that time were 6 and 213 squadrons also with temp.6s. all seviced by 324r and i wing. we had arrived at deversoir from khartoum, and prior to that we were at shallufa.At the time I was an f.m.e., before remustering up to marine fitter then up again to air signaller. |
