Hillsea Barracks Pompey in 1955 written by Ted Reeves
Sloping arms and killing a wooden sentry box with a bayonet much to the amusement of a crowd of females just outside the main gate waiting for their army boyfriends. The bayonet was well jammed so I thought that the best thing to do would be a right turn and go for a march NO the bayonet did not come out It and the rifle were left swinging in the breeze much to my dismay and delight to the "audience" |
