Training Camp Woolwich in 1980 written by David Shearer
Traveling down from Glasgow all by self to the unknown a place i knew nothing about Woolwich first time on long journey to Kings Cross Station then to the Dephs of Underground to find my connection to woolwich finaly reaching my destination waiting at the entrance a soldier in uniform our transport to camp 10 mins later we go pass guard room put into holding accommadation beside cookhouse , naafi , barbers shop.
next morning roll call put into our new Training Blocks Colenso Troop new friends new way of life to become a Gunner in RA |
