Lingfield/Giulford in 1963 written by margaret froggatt
I joined the WRAC in 1963, went to Lingfield for basic training, then onto Guilford as a Clerk/typist, in the new 4 bed rooms. Had a brilliant time there, and I am trying to find anyone who remembers me at the time. Then in Sept 64 was on my way to Singapore, and I remember arriving with 3 other girls, and on my first night falling down a monsoon drain, and injuring my shin. We had some good times there, and I have just got in touch with a good friend of mine, Pat O'Grady(as was) and it's great! I hope that some of my other good friends from then remember me, I would love to get in touch. |
