1 Div HQ & Signal Regt, Verden, Germany in 1974

 Just wondering how this works, might add a few bits and pieces later on, plus photos if I can find any. I was in 1 Squadron, Caithness Barracks in Verden. Worked in Tech Workshops on C41, C50 and C70 kit. I can remember Bob Scrivener,(aka Punchy Screwdriver), Paddy Bates, Hippo Lennon, Hife Graham Jones, Chris Pederick, Gary Stratton, 'Plastic Brain', George 'the genius' Blyth, Rick Reay, Stu Fox, Rat Roden, Dinger Bell, Pritch, Colin Moody...Did the Nijmegen Marches while I was there, had my first ever visit to a brothel just down the road from Caithness, on my first night in Germany (thanks, Rat), got bust to signalman for losing a gat on exercise, posted out in 1976. |
