 like a lot of young lads,I was called to the colours,in 56-58.I lived in wigan all my life.,my brother (brian)was on his way to civvy st,after his stint in egypt(n.s).,and as he was a r.m.p.He reckoned,that if he saw me in london,he would find an excuse to 'book'me.?he did,nt,of course,(see me in London)that is.,as I was posted to germany,after training,as a signaller,in 44HAA.regt.in oldenburg.I have as late as 07.traced a good mate,who I had been trying for a long time to trace.and I will head out once more to meet up again,and also I had before then,traced another mate,from the same bty.,Who I have visited a few times,on my trips to the u.k.unfortunately,he has now passed.
