st.kilda the outer hebredies in 1960 written by John Diamond
we were returning from st.kilda in our lct when we ran ino a force 9 storm
everybody on board was a bit worried our radar was out of comission we had no navagation lights and warm food was
out of the question.in the end our skipper sent out an sos to the naval base at londonderry and the frigate
redpole came to our assistance and escorted our vessel into stranrar. |
