ijoined the aajlr in 1964 as a young 15 year old,i was stationed at tonfanau camp north wales.the first 2 or 3 weeks were very hard because i wasn't used to be shouted at and being ordered about, i felt like leaving after the first week but i stuck with it and i'm glad i did because i enjoyed it and the rest of my army career.iwas in 3 platoon recruit company we had lt.thompson platoon commander, sgt payne drill instructor and sgt daniel who i think dealt with admin.as i say hard at first but it made a man of me. |
