Riding my triumph mcycle from home in Gloucester to camp every day,in rain, snow, and gales and enjoying it!
But most importantly seeing SAC Nora Kinsella each day---still trying to find her
In 1957 I was stationed at RAF LAARBRUCH 2nd TAF on the Command Modification Unit (CMU)and quite often sent on detachment to various other camps throughout 2nd TAF.One such posting was to RAF SYLT in the far north of the country to do mods to Sycamore helicopters. The thing about this place that made it a little 'different' was the camp being surrounded by a nudist colony! One can imagine the effect on those who had led a sheltered life till then.Did anyone else get a posting there?

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
