Abu Sueir Suez canal Zone in 1954 written by Bradley
Packing up house and home to at dawn in Abu Sueir to cross the desert to new location in Ishmailia. My wife rode up front with the RAF driver and armed guard in the truck that the RAF had supplied to tow the crappy old trailer (that nearly fell apart enroute). Foolishly I rode inside the trailer, getting all sorts of cuts and bruises, trying to keep odds and sods from being demolished in the journey.
However it was the only happy home available. |
