Was I the only one there in 1953 when the sea wall was breached I was with the 48th Regt RA filling sand bags all day to stop the sea comming in againn.The place was ALDBOROUGH SUFFOLK it was real and we got wet .
The only good thing was we were fed by the YANKS and ate plenty of steak ,over the hot plate it said please fellers only take one steak.We slept in the church hall ,Regards George Woolley . |
