GOPPERS @SHAPE in 1978

 Best 3 years of my 15 years in the RAF. Banned from drinking pints of Bacardi & Coke - so bought in 2 halves!!. We were 'Goppers' from all 3 Services. Some of us 'selected few' were even awarded the 'Whitley Award for our insignificant contribution to SHAPE' by Corporal Charlie Whitley (Pongo). Weekends in the comunal Tent Trailer in Sluis (Holland)- only taking the basics: beer, bacardi, beans and toothbrush!! or wherever we decided to go. If any of you Goppers are out there, feel free to contact me. A Reunion would be good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
