Mill Hill Barracks - WRAC in 1966 written by Shirley Wilson
Best laugh I had when I was at Mill Hill was when one of the girls Christine Smith had smuggled a guy into her room and me and another corporal dressed up in our great coats and pretended to be officers doing a bed check. When we knocked on her door all we could hear was this scurrying about and when she finally opened the door (the room was in semi darkness) we said 'We believe you might have a man in hear Private Smith' and she said 'No I haven't and the wardrobe started shaking and rattling like mad - we broke down laughing. She didn't like the joke though and was furious ha! |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
