i was the driver of a QL bedford 3 tonner,this day we were detailed to the Gurkha camp at LO-WU, first memorie,NAFFI break(well i would wouldnt i)yes they had a Naffi, but as i went past one Barrack room ,out side were tethered 3 goats, when i came out and past that barrack room,thr 3 goats were still there with their heads CHOPPED neatly OFF.......next memory same day,a group of Gurkhas were training on 5 inch motars,you how keen these chaps are ,i watched them,watch the bombs go up and land down the range,Very Good, YES,until one bomb came out and went about 20 foot away and lande belly Flop,Splutt,(hey any body still reading this!!???)robert.gray@ntlworld.com |
