Aden in 1966 written by cecil taylor
I was in with the 1st Irish Guards (micks) during 66/67. Some of the campaign was spent in the Redfan.
Our base camp was in Little Aden I think it was called Solorno, something like that. During our time in Aden we lost 9 of our members.
Most of the time was spent on patrols, but for a country boy it was some experience.
It would be nice to hear from someone, maybe not a (mick)who was out there at the time and remembers the micks.

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
