Suez in 1951 written by Maurice Scott
I remember being the sole escort on an empty 3 tonner going to Fayid from Moascar via the Treaty road. I had a 303 Lee enfield the old 6 inch nail type of bayonet but no ammo. The driver had no weapons whatsoever.Luckily it was midday and it was unlikely that the w***s would be pinching the cables at that time of day. I wasnt in a rifle company. I was a desk wallah being the HQ Company Clerk.Happy Days |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
