Poland 1944 This is not my memory. in 1945 written by alan rose
I have recently moved into a Retirement Home and there met many ex-servicmen. One has told me of his experiences. He is Polish and was taken prisoner during the uprising in Warsaw in 1944. He was sent to various pow camps, ending up in Stalag 1V-b, Camp de Gera, Milberg. While in the camp he was able to get news of the war via a radio built in the British part of the camp ands is curious as to how this was done.
Could anybody please give me some information on the above, eithert former residents of the camps or maker of radios. His name S.SZCZEPANCZYK. |
