i conpleted bt at west kirby then sent out on the empire windrush to singapore at a stop at aden a bum boat pulled along lots of them. a bod came up a rope ladder said he was jock mckenzie as black as the ace of spades.he liked the look of my matesring carl callaghan.he said he would swop it for rollex watch of he went ,that was the last we seen of him as he rowed away the lads got together along with 5 slop bins from galley over the top they went sceams shout of vulgar language and carpets with coolies clinging to upturned bum boats i dont think jock would be very popular after thati enjoyed my two and harlf years at seletar boxing and playing football for wing didnt see much action though
exept when coomie tried to raid bomb dump had great time in lavender st
had a scrap with the yanks in a club upstaires the landing collapsed and we all ebded up in the stalls below trying to locate john monaghan and reg patric two great lads opps |
