China Rock Firing Range. Singapore. in 1969 written by John, McNuff
Can anyone remember the beach landing we did at China Rock with 63 (LAA)Sqdn, bassed at R.A.F. Tengah. The 1st off the L.S.T. was a Austrailian truck which broke it's half shaft, and had to be recovered by our 10 tonner, by winch from the beach, 2nd lorry was the ammo truck, drove off the ramp and went under the waves up to the red flag on the roof, well done 110 Bty, Austrailian Army,so much for brand-new equipment, many hours of light banter that day, from us to the 'Digger's. Later that year the Bty was posted to Vietnam for a tour of duty. |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
