Northern Ireland in 1972 written by john ettery
Does anyone from The Lifeguards remember
"Operation Motorman in 1972, we were sent there as Infantry. We had a few run-ins with the UDA and the Tartan Army in Ballymacarret, after our Colonel declared that we should root out the evil of the UDA, even though the area was 90% protestant. The main problem area was the inter face at Beechfield St. Then the Mini- riot whe we arrested Gerrard Mcrory, a well known republican. If anyone can remember anything about this at all please contact me thru here |

There is nothing worse than breaking down. But if you do, the RAC have more than 1,500 patrols ready to rescue you, whether you are at the shops or on the motorway. They will always try to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if they cant they will make getting it repaired as painless as possible.
