I was a new recruit in the Guards Deopt in Pirbright (Jan 1976) I went through all my basic training. only to find that when it came for my passing out parade, we had to postpone it becuase we were on fire duty.

we did passout two weeks later.then I did a very enjoyable 2 year stint in Berlin.
