BAOR WAR in 1969 written by Ian murwald
Leaving the regiment in Gutersloe Germany for a three month fact finding trip of Q "Sannas Post" battery's battle honours near Blomfontain in south Africa. With Lt James Hodges, Sgt Dave Walch, and L/bdr Frank miller. Hitching a lift on H.M.S. Fearless to Capetown. Then hitch hiking the route around to numerous places, meeting up with people from the S.A.Artillery accociation, and a survivor of the baor war. Rejoining the regiment back in Bulford England. |
